I requested this wood canvas specifically for making a Vintage-style jewelry display board. This Walnut Hollow wood canvas is ideal because:
“(it is great) for fiber art, hot melt art, painting, staining, rubber stamping, paper art and many other techniques. Since panel is 1.75″ thick, it acts as a framed piece ready to hang on a wall.” (Walnut Hollow website)
Using Ann Butler faux-quilting stamps makes it so easy to do this project because each stamp is 2 square inches and specifically engineered to create a continuous border.

I needed to sand the edges of the wood before I could begin.
1. paint 2 coats of cool white acrylic to cover the front and sides of the wood.
This acrylic dries very quickly so there is no down time!
2.using 2″ Leaves All Over stamp a continuous outer border in Ann Butler Clearsnap aquamarine.
3. continue stamping with your choice of stamp to cover the entire surface.
4. outline the areas with black paint ( including the edge of the base).
5. apply washi tape around perimeter of the board
6. glue frame and clothespins using Beacon glue.
