Scrapbook and Cards Today is a beautiful magazine you can read totally free, in its entirety online. It is a real testament to the quality of writing, projects and information that so many readers still choose to purchase a ‘hard copy’ subscription (which happens to be the least expensive subscription I am aware of and the reason is, ‘Because it’s free, too!’ – you are just paying for shipping and handling).
I love receiving the magazine in the mail. To get the magazine delivered click here.
It really is a beautiful publication. The paper is high quality and glossy. Like a good Scrapbook page, the entire magazine seems to be laid out to guide you effortlessly through it from beginning to end.
Even though I am primarily a card maker, I look at every single page (including the ads) and read about each and every project. I would like to share with you what REALLY STOOD OUT in this issue.
- ‘You had me at ‘Hello’. Right from the beginning I was hooked by these 2 wonderful cards by Becky Fleck. I was intrigued by the cut out in the first and the sewing treatment. I like how beautifully she pulled the chevrons, stripes and houndstooth together.
3. A regular feature is “10 most wanted” showcasing the latest and greatest items and ideas. What stood out for me? #five – Pixies from Doodlebug Design
|What I loved about this layout: The diecut background, spraying the cardstock first, and the use of staples.|
‘Stories with heart’ on p. 55. It’s poignant and powerful.
